How it begins
Growing up in Indonesia, I remember wearing traditional Indonesian dresses to commemorate our national culture day, and my mom making me wear batik with a traditional blouse-dress (kebaya).
For Indonesians, Batik is considered a formal attire famous for bold patterns that you only wear to weddings, formal events, and graduations. While I didn't think much of its formality and cultural symbolism when I was young, as I moved away and made Seattle my new home, I grew to love the fabric of Batik and all that it commemorates.
My Vision: Add the beauty of Batik fabric to your everyday life
My Mission: Create a business that conveys the beauty of Indonesia in a global marketplace
